Paterson and its parent company in Norway successfully manufacture and
sell heating appliances into a European wide market. The products are
basic by nature and design, with little technological advantage, the company
was experiencing fierce competition which was driving prices down to unacceptable
levels. We where briefed to improve market share and turnover. This was
achieved by aiming its strategic marketing activities towards the architect
and developers of new property. In order to do this successfully the company
was provided with a new up to date image which would appeal to the architectural
professions and any added value derived from new technology in heat recovery
in cold countries. This was employed to deliver a sales argument to these
professions. Paterson now has a growing market at the top end of this
sector and sales turnovers on all products have improved dramatically.
